Do you like to play casual games on mobile? How about cooking games? A fan of SpongeBob Squarepants? If you answered YES to all three, then you’re in luck. SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off is officially available for iOS and Android. In the game, players get the chance to be the best fry cook in Bikini Bottom.
Krusty Cook-Off offers cooking gameplay that’s fast paced while at the same time a lot of fun. Fans of the TV show are sure to love the chances to interact with many familiar faces in the likes of Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, and Mr. Krabs. Players also get the chance to visit many of the well-known landmarks like the Treedome and, of course, the Krusty Krab. It’s not all about cooking though, as players eventually get the chance to design their very own restaurant.
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off is the second game to result from the collaboration between Tilting Point and Nukebox Studios. Tilting Point is known for games like Zombieland: AFK Survival, Star Trek Timelines, and Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest.
The first game released from the partnership of these two companies was Food Truck Chef. This has been downloaded more than 25 million times and even managed to be the top Casual Game for Android in at least 40 countries. It also managed to make it to the Top 100 Grossing Charts in at least 100 countries on both Google Play and the iOS App Store. For SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-off, at least 15 million players had already pre-registered for the game before it even released.
In a statement, Nukebox Studios CEO Amit Hardi said that the colaboration with Tilting Point, along with a partnership with Nickelodeon, has resulted in being able to bring this game to life. He went on to say that this being the second title with Tilting Point, “it really shows how far we have come together as partners and what we can accomplish as a team.”
Tilting Point President Samir El-Agili said that the company is more than happy “about launching this unique take on a beloved franchise that is the result of our strong collaboration with Nukebox Studios and Nickelodeon.” For Tilting Point, this game is an example of the kind of project that they want to develop using their progressive publishing model. El-Agili said further that after the success of Food Truck Chef, both Tilting Point and Nukebox managed to take advantage of developing this new game from scratch and that they “are very proud of the results.”
