When the new Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield monsters were released, it was only a matter of time before dataminers found interesting details in Pokémon Go’s code. Apparently, the new leak suggests that Niantic might be adding several pocket monsters in the hit AR game’s next major update.
For starters, the original Koffing, which is number 109 in the Pokédex, now has a set of four different forms added into his coffers. These are, namely, Weezing Normal, Shadow, Purified, and Weezing Galarian. It is worth noting that this is just one of the set of the new Galarian types, all of which have been confirmed by the studio to appear in Pokémon Go's next major update.
While Galarian Weezing remains to be poison type in Pokémon Go, it will also be considered a fairy type Pokémon. This distinction simply follows the standard found in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. As for the base_capture_rate and base_flee_rate, they are at 0.2 and is 0.06, respectively. Also, Galarian Weezing is said to offer a base stamina of 163, with base defense being at 197 and base attack at 174.
It should also be noted that Galarian Weezing, Galarian Zigzagoon, and Galarian Linoone will have equal gender percentages: 50% male, 50% female. They will even have the same capture and flee rates.
Moreover, Galarian Weezing, Galarian Zigzagoon, and Galarian Linoone have the so-called “asset_bundle_value: 31.” In case you did not know, there is only one other pocket monster in the entirety of the current Pokémon Go Master file – and that is believed to be Unown U. If this really means something significant, then the values simply mean little to nothing, as the rest of the Unown asset bundle values go from 11-38. Of course, the final word is for Niantic to announce and we might be getting that confirmation very soon.
