A new series of Banner Saga 3 character trailers kicked off this week, beginning with a quick look at Fasolt’s goals and motivations heading into the trilogy’s final game. We also learn a little something about the humans still standing in TBS3 : they might be shit out of luck.
The Banner Saga 3 is still a video game. So things are probably going to work out for mankind in the end (if you want them to). But not if Fasolt gets his way. The Varl leader is on the warpath in TBS3 -- the latest iteration of everyone’s favorite sitcom rerun channel -- and not even the potential eradication of every living thing is enough to calm his anger. We won’t get into too many specifics about why, just in case you haven’t had a chance to finish Banner Saga or TBS2. Suffice to say, if it seems like the world is ending, you probably don’t want to make enemies of an army of giant vikings.
A press release for the trailer also notes the project has a launch window. We still don’t have a specific date; however, Versus Evil and Stoic say fans should expect to see The Banner Saga 3 sometime this summer. The game’s Kickstarter campaign only confirmed Windows and OS X versions but it’s probably safe to assume we’ll see the game ported to PS4 and Xbox One (just like the last two games) before Stoic moves on to something else.

The Banner Saga 3 hits Windows and OS X sometime this summer.
