A new event is set to launch in Pokémon GO this month. The Riolu Hatch Day is happening on July 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time. During this event, Riolu is hatching much more frequently from two-kilometer Eggs. There's also an increased chance of hatching a Shiny Riolu.
You're probably wondering what Hatch Day is all about. It's like Community Days, Research Days, or Raid Days, where the event is focused on featured Pokémon. For Hatch Days, it's all about hatching with a greater chance of hatching the featured Pokémon from two-kilometer Eggs and a higher chance of hatching a Shiny version of that same featured Pokémon.
This is the first-ever Hatch Day, so be sure to have those Incubators ready for as many Riolu you can possibly hatch within the three-hour period of the event.

- 2× Stardust from hatching Eggs.
- 2 km Eggs drop much more frequently from PokéStops.
Do the Research
There are event-themed Field Research tasks when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Completing these will let you earn candy, Stardust, Berries, Great Balls, and XP. Also available during the event is a free event-exclusive Timed Research which awards a Super Incubator.

July Events
With the upcoming launch of Hatch Day, there is a lot to do now this month.
There's the Catching Some Z's event starting tomorrow until Sunday, being held as part of the celebration of the release of Pokémon GO Plus +. Komala debuts in the game through this event as well. Meanwhile, completing Special Research tasks gives you a chance to encounter a Snorlax wearing a nightcap.
After that, there's Adventure Week from July 27 to August 2, which debuts Mega Tyranitar in Mega Raids. There's also the chance to encounter not only a Shiny Amaura but even a Shiny Tyrunt.
Toward the end of the month, you can join the July 2023 Community Day. During this event, Poliwag is going to appear more frequently in the wild. If your luck is high enough, you may encounter a Shiny version.
