Britne Oldford is returning to play Shawna Baez, otherwise known as Peek-a-Boo, in The Flash Season 4 episode 1, titled ‘The Flash Reborn.’ The news comes from the reliable Entertainment Weekly, but no more details are known about the character’s return to the series.
Peek-a-Boo is a teleporter who was locked up in the Pipeline for a petty robbery on behalf of her boyfriend, Clay. When The Flash caught Peek-a-Boo, her boyfriend abandons her. That’s when she was sent to a cell with a one way mirror so she couldn’t get out – that is, until the Reverse-Flash freed her. She attacked Team Flash after Barry went after Reverse Flash, but was eventually imprisoned once again. Later, Peek-a-Boo was rescued from jail by none other than the expert Prison Break-er himself, Wentworth Miller, aka Captain Cold, soon after, along with a bunch of other metahumans.
Since Shawna has been MIA, it’s no surprise she’ll appear as an adversary to Kid Flash and Vibe in the premiere. She’s a formidable enemy and it will be interesting to see how the two new heroes handle her strong powers. She did give Barry some trouble on his first attempt to catch her early in Season 1.
Another villain was also spotted in set photos from the premiere, but unlike Peek-a-Boo, this presumably villain's identity is unknown. He does look a lot like a Samuroid, which are evil robotic samurai from the comics.
