If you’ve ever wanted Formula 1 racing, then you’re in luck. F1 2021 is now available on PC and different consoles. The game offers teams, drivers, and circuits featured in the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship.
The game is developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts. Talking about this latest release, Codemasters Franchise Game Director Lee Mather revealed in a statement that with the launch of the game, they can now give players worldwide the chance to try out F1. He went on to say that they are excited for everyone to climb the ranks as they race against friends or other players.
Different Modes
One thing players can expect is the new Story Mode. Titled "Braking Point," players can experience professional racing as they start from Formula 2 and then climb the ranks to Formula 1. If anything, it mirrors real-life team dynamics and some run-ins with other drivers.
The Career Mode is still here but has been expanded. There’s now a two-player option that allows friends to play together online. Not only that, but friends can also be on opposing teams and race against each other.
It features the Real-Season Start where players can begin their career at any race in the season that’s already occurred.
Next-Gen Consoles
F1 2021 is available on PC through Steam as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
For the next-gen consoles, the visuals have been improved so players can look forward to better on-track models and textures. There are also the enhanced car body and tire damage models. Meanwhile, Ray Tracing makes sure that photorealism is there when it comes to replays and cutscenes. Finally, a Performance Mode option lets the game run above 60 FPS on compatible hardware. It goes without saying that those who can play on next-gen platforms have better loading times.
F1 2021 is available for $59.99. A Deluxe Edition is available which comes with seven iconic F1 drivers that can be used in My Team along with exclusive customization content. It has 18,000 PitCoins and the Braking Point Content Pack.
