Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is being offered free-to-play from November 4 to 7. It’s available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia. This is good news not only to those who want to try the game but even to veterans of the franchise.
It’s not only the base game that’s available but even the Operation Motherland update. In this one, players are taken back to the island of Auroa and work with Karen Bowman. Since finishing the first mission, this island has seen the most powerful forces in the world fight to seize control of its technology. Players are tasked with helping Karen give that control to a neutral force which is The Outcasts led by Haruhi Ito.
Operation Motherland also introduces the Conquest Mode. This game mode has players conquer different areas of the island by performing various destabilization missions. Each mission completed has an impact on the world like lowering enemy presence or eliminating surveillance. The Conquest Mode also features five new Bodark archetypes which are:
- Tactician (radio operator)
- Oppressor (armored breacher)
- Dreadnought (armored rocket gunner)
- Trooper (rifleman)
- Seeker (rifleman using Optical Camo)
Once the free weekend event is over, players can carry over their progress after buying the full game.

While Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the eleventh game in the franchise, it serves as a narrative sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands. The game is set in a fictional island chain of Auroa in the Pacific Ocean. Players take on the role of a U.S. Special Operation Forces service member named Lieutenant Colonel Anthony “Nomad” Perryman. They are sent to the island to investigate disturbances involving the military contractor Skell Technology.
