The Lunar New Year is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with cool new stuff right? A new update is now live in Goose Goose Duck which introduces a rather thorough change to Goosechapel; the biggest one is the addition of two new roles.
The first role is called the Stalker Goose. They are lovesick geese that can track down their obsession. Because the heart is fickle, they can always pick someone new.
The second new role is the Esper. The Esper is psychic and because of that, they could hear every time a player complained about how weak they were. For them, each complaint had the feeling of having a knife in their brain, and they've decided that enough’s enough and switched sides. This new Esper Duck can psychically invade the mind of another player. Once inside, a timer then starts. The Esper can speak privately up until the timer hits zero, after which the target dies.
Privacy Mode
Update 2.15 also introduces the "Privacy" Mode. The development team at Gaggle Studios revealed in a post that this was a request made by a few streamers. It's been found out that some malicious players would join their game and use offensive names in an attempt to shut down their streams.
However, Privacy Mode is only available for private games, an option selected when a game is formed. Players who join a game with Privacy Mode on have their name replaced with BIRD and a number. Players who host a private game are the ones responsible for those joining in. According to the team, this is to give streams an additional option.
The team went on to say that public games are always risky with who enters, and that it's not advisable to stream a public game.
Finally, the new update also adds new limited-time cosmetics to the shop.
Goose Goose Duck is a social deduction game where players and their fellow geese need to work together to complete the mission. However, malicious Mallards and other birds have infiltrated the group and are doing everything they can to stop the team. Features of the game include:
- Private and Public Game Lobbies.
- Public in-game voice chat and optional proximity chat in private lobbies.
- Loads of cosmetics to customize the goose.
- Complete tasks to obtain materials to craft cosmetics.
- More than five maps.
- At least five built-in game modes.
- More than 30 optional sub-roles.
