The strategic digging game Ground Divers! is now out on Nintendo Switch. It’s exclusively available as a digital title for the platform, priced at $14.99. In the game, players guide a robot named Tsuruhashi as he tries to stay awake to defeat enemies while also searching for rare matters hidden deep underground.
The Story So Far
The story takes place in a distant solar system, particularly on a planet whose energy sources are depleting. The inhabitants of the planet are saved from their predicament with the arrival of Tsuruhashi. Tsuruhashi managed to resolve the issue by unearthing what’s known as “rare matter” from deep underground. After that, however, Tsuruhashi suddenly disappears.
Without Tsuruhashi, the people of the planet decided to develop “mining frames” so they can explore the underground. The teams using these mining frames are called Ground Divers.
In the game, players take on the role of a team known as Studio Tsuruhashi. They pilot the mining frame using energy from the Cheer Crystals. What the crystals do is convert support into a power source used by the mining frame.
