13 years after Halo fans enjoyed Halo 3 on Xbox 360, the acclaimed game is finally ready to join the Master Chief Collection on PC. The game is already up for some testing and it will be available for everybody to play on July 14.
Halo 3 is an important game in the franchise as it concludes the story that began in Halo Combat Evolved and sends Master Chief to finish the fight that he started. Of course, there have been other Halo games after Halo 3, but Halo 3 in particular has always stood out as one of the best Halo games in the franchise.
The Halo Master Chief Collection on PC has been slowly rolling out, and currently is consisted of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo: Reach. The fourth installment making it's way to the Master Chief Collection is Halo 3.
Without years of a new entry in the franchise, Halo is making its return by steadily releasing Halo content for PC. Developer 343 Industries also announced that the popular Firefight mode will be returning to the Master Chief Collection. The Firefight mode was a popular mode first seen in Halo 3: ODST.
Halo 3 for PC was announced via a new trailer, aptly titled 'Finish The Fight'. The title itself points towards the wrapping up of the original trilogy. Check out the trailer below:
You can purchase Halo 3 either through the Microsoft Store or Steam. If you are already subscribed to Xbox Game Pass for PC, you can download the game for free.
