Watch Dogs: Legion is finally available worldwide for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The game is set to be released for the Xbox Series X/S and Amazon Luna on November 10. For the PlayStation 5, the digital version is releasing on November 12 while the physical version is going to be available on November 24.
Players that buy Watch Dogs: Legion for the PS4 and Xbox One can upgrade to the next-gen version for free. Through the Ubisoft Connect ecosystem, players can keep their progression and in-game content between current and next-gen consoles.
In Watch Dogs: Legion, London is facing its downfall. However, amidst all of the growing unrest, an unknown entity known as Zero-Day has coordinated bombings across the city and has framed DedSec, a secret underground resistance, as the culprits. With the government defeated, some criminals are taking the opportunity to fill in that void.
As part of DedSec, players get to go against criminal opportunists in the likes of sadists, mercenaries, and cybercriminals. Players need to recruit members to the resistance in order to take on the criminal opportunists, free London, and uncover the truth about Zero-Day.
One of the interesting innovations that Watch Dogs: Legion offers is known as its “Play as Anyone” feature. As the term implies, this is going to allow players to choose any citizen in the entire city of London to be part of their roster. Since each single person in this open world can be recruited, it’s going to be an interesting experience since each one offers a unique backstory, personality, and skillset.
Players who buy the Season Pass also get access to Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline. This is a new storyline which brings back Aiden Pierce from the original Watch Dogs and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2. The two are going to be fully playable in the single player campaign and online.
Players also get introduced to Darcy, who’s a member of the Assassin Order, and made possible through a crossover with Assassin’s Creed. Then there’s also Mina, the subject of transhuman experiments, who possess the ability to mind control individuals. In addition to the story expansion, the Season Pass is also going to offer extra DedSec missions along with the original Watch Dogs Complete Edition from 2014. The Season Pass is included in the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector Editions.
The online multiplayer mode for Watch Dogs: Legion is set to be released on December 3 as part of a free game update. Post-launch plans for Watch Dogs: Legion include offering new content for the single-player mode and introducing online multiplayer modes.
