Two more Horizon Zero Dawn trailers were published Friday morning, days before the game’s review embargo is set to expire, featuring two minutes of HZD cinematics and gameplay clips that focus on Aloy and her hunting abilities. There isn’t much new Horizon Zero Dawn footage in the trailers but we’ve definitely entered that period when major publishers churn out trailer after trailer, new information/footage be damned.
This week’s releases are actually the sixth and seventh Horizon Zero Dawn trailers we’ve seen over the last two weeks, arriving on the heels of a short video series highlighting the game’s four of the untold number of robotic creatures wandering the map. And Guerrilla followed up on its robotic mini-series with another short trailer published earlier this week ; a short reminder that humans won’t be at the top of the food chain when Horizon Zero Dawn debuts on Feb. 28.
The latest pair of trailers to join the bunch are similarly short, at just one minute each, and follow the same quick-cut format as most of the game’s other TV ads. Neither is likely to generate much excitement among those who’ve been waiting for Horizon Zero Dawn since E3 2015, when the game was first unveiled. But they might be just enough to get that initial hook into anyone catching a glimpse of Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time during a commercial break.
