Just as we thought casting was done for Marvel’s The Inhumans , comic book writer Charles Soule revealed at Coast to Coast Comic-Con more characters will be added to the cast -- his characters actually -- a newer Inhuman race called NuHumans. The most well-known NuHuman is Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan.

While NuHumans have the same abilities, they are differentiated from Inhumans because they were affected by a Terrigen outbreak in a later generation, activating latent or dormant Inhuman genes. In the comics, this phenomenon was the result of Terrigen vapor clouds caused by the destruction of Attilan, the home of the Inhuman Royal Family’s secret society. In Agents of SHIELD , a Terrigen outbreak was caused by water contamination. It’s unclear if Inhumanas will use that event from SHIELD to introduce NuHumans to the story. Unlike Inhumans, NuHumans are a newer society who don’t completely separate themselves from human society.
Considering there’s no way Ms. Marvel is going to appear, what NuHumans should we expect? Soule’s creations and other NuHumans include Naja (invisibility and flight), Inferno (geokinesis), Flint (pyrokinesis), Reader (can create what he reads in reality, member of New Attilan Security Force), Iso (pressure manipulation abilities), Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (who can switch consciousnesses), Mosaic (who can possess people), Synapse (a telepath), Grid (electromagnetic powers).
These NuHumans go on various adventure with the Inhuman Royal Family in the ‘All New Inhumans’ series. Maybe we’ll see some sort of team-up in the series too. The first two episodes of The Inhumans will be combined and premiere in IMAX theaters Sept. 1. The eight-episode season airs on ABC in the following weeks
