After rumors and possible release date leaks, Ed Boon revealed the official release date for the upcoming Injustice 2 f ighting game.
On May 16, the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us will release for PS4 and Xbox One. Here’s the tweet from Ed Boon with the Injustice 2 release date announcement.

While not much is known about Injustice 2 outside of what was shown at E3 2016, we do have a handful of characters that will be continuing the story of Injustice . Those characters are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Deadshot Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.
What’s new about Injustice 2 is the Gear System will now include customizable armor for your fighter. As you make your way through the story and other game modes in Injustice 2 , you’ll have the opportunity to win different armor parts to equip, each with different abilities and power-ups.
