The tourneys will be live-streamed on the official Twitch channel of Bandai Namco here.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is being developed by CyberConnect2 Co. and hopes to show it as a loyal and authentic adaptation to the captivating art style of Hirohiko Araki. Adding credence to that authenticity are the actors of the original Japanese VO lending their talents to the game.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is set to be the biggest game ever in the franchise with a roster of 50 characters coming from every story arc. That means players not only get the chance to experience popular battles from each story arc but also see heroes from different universes interact with each other for the first time.
As mentioned, the game uses the signature art style by Araki, which is prominent when it comes to characters, stories, and settings. Together, these offer fun and fast-paced battles that should make JoJo fans happy. Fighting game fans are also going to love this game not just because of the robust roster of fighters but also due to the wide range of customization options.
The game will introduce a newly revamped version of the fight system first introduced in 2013. It even ups the tempo with hit stops, dashes, intricate new combos, and the all-new “Support Attack” tag-team battle system.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is coming out on PC on September 1. Versions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch are arriving on September 2.
