A new update has been released for The King of Fighters ALLSTAR which introduces two new playable characters. There are also new battle cards available along with different in-game events.
The first new playable fighter is XV Iori (Red Element/Attack type). He joins the battle with a leader skill which can increase the ATK and Critical DMG of [Extreme] fighters. His active skill gives strong charging capability with his special skill increasing the ATK of allies by a certain rate.
The second fighter is XV Shun’ei (Green Element/Balance type). His leader skill allows the ATK and Critical DMG of [Green Element] fighters to increase by a certain level. His ability lowers the active skill cooldown for a period and decreases the DEF of all enemies after landing a basic attack.
Battle Cards
New playable characters typically mean new battle cards. In this case, players can look forward to getting XV Iori and XV Shun’ei’s Special Card, which give special skills to the equipped fighter. For the XV Iori Special Card, it increases the Critical DMG for a period after the equipped fighter uses a skill. The XV Shun’ei Special Card, meanwhile, increases the ATK Speed for a certain time.
Login Bonus
There are also new in-game events and one of them is the Remember These Flames Total Login Bonus. Simply log in during the event period to get various bonus rewards, including items and materials for Fighter Growth along with Shun'ei's Commemorative Gift Fragment and Shun'ei Badge. This event started January 25 and slated to end February 10.
Rush Dungeon
Players can also take on the Rush Dungeon: I'm a Producer?! event. This is divided into three chapters:
- Chapter 1 Stage: January 25
- Chapter 2 Stage: January 26
- Chapter 3 Stage: January 27
For this event, players need to play the Rush Event story of Hotaru and work to be the best musician and producer Shun'ei. Simply clear rush stages of various difficulties to earn rewards which can then be exchanged with Event Coins in the Exchange Shop. The event ends February 25.
Challenge Dungeon
Then, there is the Challenge Dungeon: Sonata of Fate and Envy from January 25 to February 15. To access the Challenge Dungeon, players need to have either XV Iori Yagami or XV Shun'ei. Once they can access it, simply clear each level to earn rewards.
