While we’ve already heard from a reliable source that a remastered L.A. Noire is coming to the Nintendo Switch, a new rumor says it will be coming to not only the Switch, but also the PS4 and Xbox One. Naturally for a Rockstar game, there’s no talk of a PC version.
Before you all bust out our old detective clues and maps of old-time Los Angeles, we should point out this rumor is pretty darn unverified. While the original Switch rumor comes from a very reliable GTA Online/Rockstar leaker, this second rumor doesn’t have the same pedigree. That being said, two rumors sprouting up about a remastered L.A. Noire could mean something’s in the works.
Looking at Rockstar right now, they are obviously hard at work on Red Dead Redemption 2 in San Diego, and Rockstar North is still pumping out GTA Online content. Seeing as how a remaster doesn’t require nearly as much work as making a new game, it’s possible Rockstar has a team somewhere working on the project.
The new rumor also gives a release window of “late summer.” This means the remaster will be released before Red Dead Redemption 2. No release date has been given for the western, but we do know it is planned for some time in the fall. Expect RDR2 to come out in early November and L.A. Noire (if real) to come out in late July or August.
So what do you think? Are you interested in a remastered L.A. Noire? Would you get it for the Switch or a PS4 or Xbox One? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
