The last patch before the one scheduled for Worlds is finally available to play. Patch 12.17 buffs several champions that should make Worlds more interesting with new picks.
Here, we will focus on the buffs for Miss Fortune and Graves.
Miss Fortune
The developers found the lethality builds for Miss Fortune much stronger than crit builds. So, they made some changes to make her crit build deal more damage, with the help of Double Up (Q).
Double Up (Q)
Miss Fortune’s Double Up ability will now deal extra base damage from Rank Two onwards. So, make sure you maximize it if you want to deal the most damage with any crit build. Also, bounce it off the opponent to maximize damage during fights or in the lane.
Physical Damage: From 20/40/60/80/100 (+100% AD) (+35% AP) to 20/45/70/95/120 (+100% AD) (+35% AP).
Cast Time: From 0.25s to Matching Basic Attack Time.
Strut (W)
Miss Fortune’s Strut ability allows her to move faster and gain attack speed. In this update, the ability's mana cost has decreased and attack speed has increased, which should make this ability more spammable.
Mana Cost: From 45 to 35.
Attack Speed: From 40/55/70/85/100% to 50/65/80/95/110%.
Make It Rain (E)
The Make It Rain ability is tweaked a bit. The scaling damage is boosted, yet its modifier is AP. Although AP items will help, the base damage is reduced and the cooldown is increased, making it less viable to spam. These changes direct players to use Q as their main harassing tool, instead of E. If there is anything worth it, the slow effect gets better with more AP.
Cooldown: From 18/16/14/12/10 seconds to 18/17/16/15/14 seconds.
Full Damage (8-ticks): From 80/115/150/185/220 (+80% AP) to 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP).
Slow: From 40/45/50/55/60% to 50% (+4% per 100 AP).
Graves
The current meta favors junglers with engage tools, one reason why jungler Graves has fallen off-meta. The developers reduced the cooldown of his End of the Line and increased the damage of his Collateral Damage ultimate.
End of the Line (Q)
The cooldowns of this ability are reduced on later ranks to empower Graves' jungle clear.
Cooldown: From 12/11/10/9/8 seconds to 13/11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds.
Collateral Damage (R)
Grave’s ultimate, Collateral Damage will deal more base damage across all ranks. This should be enough to threaten the enemy team when he reaches Level 6.
Damage: From 250/400/550 (+150% bonus AD) to 275/425/575 (+150% bonus AD).
