League of Legends Update 12.20 brings many changes, including buffs, nerfs, and tweaks. The patch also included adjustments to items and one rune. The rune nerfed in this update is Lethal Tempo, and the change only affects a single part of it.
Lethal Tempo Rune Change
The developers found that players were getting too much out of the Lethal Tempo rune because of its extended attack range. The extended range makes it difficult to go against ranged champions when the rune is stacked. So, they reduced the bonus range to 50 from 75, same with melee champions.
- Bonus Auto Attack Range: From 75 to 50.
Items Changes
In this update, the developers adjusted four items: Demonic Embrace, Frozen Heart, Mortal Reminder, and Sterak’s Gage. Here, we will focus on the changes for Frozen Heart and Mortal Reminder.
Frozen Heart
Frozen Heart is one of the best tank items to counter champions who depend on attack speed, as the item slows down the opponent’s attacks. It’s also a cheap item that some champions can rush depending on the matchup. In this update, the developers made some adjustments like increasing the total price of the item by 200 gold, decreasing the Rock Solid Damage Reduction, and increasing the Armor value by 10.
- Total Cost: From 2500 to 2700.
- Combine Cost: From 600 to 800.
- Armor: From 80 to 90.
- Rock Solid Damage Reduction: From 7 (+3.5 per 1,000 health) to 5 (+3.5 per 1,000 health).
Mortal Reminder
Mortal Reminder is a good Grievous Wounds generator for ADCs to purchase because it comes with similar stats as Phantom Dancer. But developers buffed its damage stat to make it stand out more. However, this is offset by increased price and lower attack speed.
- Total Cost: From 2,500 to 2,600.
- Attack Damage: From 25 to 35.
- Attack Speed: From 25% to 20%.
