League of Legends: Wild Rift received Patch 2.5 last week, and it brought a lot of nice changes. Here, we'll talk about the best things in that patch. So without further ado, let’s get started.
New Champion
Veigar is the latest Champion introduced in Wild Rift. This Yordle sorcerer is considered a good mid-laner with passives and abilities that will make your enemies think twice before attacking you.
His passive, Phenomenal Evil Power, grants stacking ability power (AP). Gaining stacks in the early game is key to victory as it gives you a substantial AP boost. It reduces the cooldown of his Dark Matter ability as well.

Better Matchmaking
Finding a match when your rank is still low is easy. However, once you climb to higher ranks, you will find that most of your time is wasted trying to look for the best matches.
Having said that, developers at Riot Games will try to address the matchmaking issues throughout Patch 2.5. In the coming weeks, they will implement a new algorithm to prioritize Matchmaking Rating (MMR). Also, a Rank Competence Tag will be added to the loading screen, which should tell you that a person plays better than what their current rank may suggest.
With upcoming changes, the devs hope that finding a match is between three to five minutes, or at least, below the 20-minute threshold.
Introduction of Guilds
Another neat feature in Patch 2.5 is the introduction of guilds. You can either create your own or find an existing guild to join using the built-in Guild Finder.
Being a guild member provides you with a platform to talk with like-minded players and an avenue that allows you to invite more people to your premade matches.
Besides that, you can take part in guild vs. guild battles, which give you a chance to earn exclusive rewards. These battles can also reward trophy points and help your guild rise to prominence by climbing the leaderboards.
Improved Wild Pass
Finally, you will find a much improved Wild Pass once you log into the game. Aside from the new UI, those using the free Wild Pass will now earn rewards for every level up to 50.
Getting the Basic or Elite Pass will give seasonal missions to help you progress through the Pass further and unlock more rewards. If you’re opting to get the Elite Pass, you will get a boost in XP as well.
