League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 4.0 - Fundamental Changes to Camille and More

Patch 4.0
Patch 4.0 Riot Games

Camille is a very strong champion but requires a lot of time and practice to master her moves. Riot Games wants her to be more approachable for newer League of Legends: Wild Rift players, so they made some fundamental changes to her kit in Patch 4.0.

Let’s start with Camille’s Precision Protocol. A short time after Camille unleashes her empowered attack, her next basic attack automatically gets empowered as well. The only difference here is that it deals true damage as opposed to bonus damage. This means that she can be quite a formidable champion on the battlefield since her next attack disregards resistances.

Furthermore, the bonus movement speed granted by her Precision Protocol is now set at 25% on all levels. This is pretty huge considering that she no longer needs to wait in the later stages of the game just to get the full effect.

In addition, her Tactical Sweep now deals bonus damage to the entire area of effect instead of just the outer half. If Camille manages to hit enemies with the outer half of the cone (aka the “sweet spot”), they will be slowed down by 80% for two seconds. And oh, Camille gets healed for 50% of the damage dealt as well.

The ever-useful Hookshot received a couple of notable changes too. Now, if Camille misses the initial cast, the ability is placed on a three-second cooldown instead of the full cooldown. This makes the ability more forgiving, especially to those new to playing Camille.

Moreover, when Hookshot is recast, she dashes in a targeted direction, dealing physical damage upon landing. After that, if she hits an enemy champion in the next three seconds with her basic attack, she’s granted bonus attack speed for five seconds.

All in all, these changes seem to make Camille more beginner-friendly. Not to mention that she’s more versatile now than before.
