The Legend of Zelda is one of the most recognizable franchises in video game history and the inspiration for a manga adaptation following the adventures of Link in the kingdom of Hyrule. Now, Viz Media is releasing the classic manga in a “Legendary Edition” omnibus.
Viz Media will release the first volume of The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition omnibus Nov. 1, which collect s the past The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Parts 1 and 2 with a new volume releasing bimonthly.
There are five volumes of The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition planned, with the first volume going for $17.99.
“The Legend of Zelda is an unforgettable and tremendously loved property among multiple generations of video game, pop culture and manga fans,” says Beth Kawasaki, Senior Editorial Director for Perfect Square in a press release. “We are very excited to bring fans The Legend of Zelda in a comprehensive new way with these collectible omnibus editions.”
Every volume includes the story and will be presented in a deluxe format, featuring new covers and color artwork by creator Akira Himekawa.
