Rip Hunter has been MIA for awhile now and things were starting to feel normal on the Waverider (whatever that means in Legends terms). White Canary has been killing it as Captain. She even got Stein to back off. However, the latest Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 promo reveals things won’t be "normal" for long.
Firstly, Vixen and Steel in bed together at the 15 second mark? WTF happened to Mick? Secondly, the trailer also confirms The Legion of Doom will kidnap Rip Hunter. After putting together the two pieces of the Askaran Amulet, The Legion of Doom were able to access a map that will lead them to the Spear of Destiny, an ancient artifact with mystic powers that Reverse-Flash says can “rewrite reality itself.”
After revealing his plan to Malcolm Merlyn and Reverse Flash, Damien Darhk said he needs Rip Hunter to help navigate the map. That’s when we saw Rip in 1967 Los Angeles. Rip no longer has an English accent and is far from the dapper Captain we once knew. He could be suffering from some sort of memory loss or it’s possible his history has changed because of whatever he did on the Waverider before he vanished into thin air.
As for the Legion of Doom, White Canary really isn’t too impressed with the name: “I’m not calling them that,” she scoffs. While the villainous team is dangerous enough as is, they’re still technically missing a member. Where is Captain Cold? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 continues on a new night. Episode 10, “Raiders of the Lost Art,” airs Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 9 p.m. after The Flash.
