If you’re one of those wanting to try out Marvel’s Avengers, then you’re in luck. From July 29 to August 1, the game is available to play for free. This applies to PC, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia.
Xbox owners though have to wait a little longer. They’re going to have a similar all-access opportunity but no actual date has been revealed yet.
During the all-access weekend, those who want to try out the game can simply download it from the digital store of their preferred platform. For the period of the promotion, all elements of the game are available. These include the Reassemble campaign and even the ongoing Avengers Initiative. They can even try Kate Bishop and Hawkeye Operations.
Once the all-access period is over, progress and purchases are carried over in those who buy the game.
In a statement, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics Scot Amos shared that with the game nearing its one-year anniversary, this is a good time to jump into the action and try it out. Talking about Xbox, he added that they are working with Xbox to give console owners the same opportunity.
Omega Level Threat
Before the all-access weekend arrives, players need to prepare for an Omega Level Threat. This is going to be the first of such missions to be introduced in the game. These missions need four-player teams of at least Power Level 145. Difficult as the missions are, they can give some of the highest-end gear.
The first Omega-Level Threat is titled Family Reunion. It’s a bit similar to the Family Reunion mission of the Taking Aim Operation. One big difference though is the fight against the Super-Adaptoid. So, expect new tricks and must have good coordination to bring it down.
Here are some of the things players can expect when finishing the mission:
- Weekly Completion Rewards
- Omega Exotic Gear (Melee/Ranged)
- Omega Exotic Gear (Defense/Heroic)
- 1 Epic Cosmic themed Minor Artifact
- 25 Polychoron
- 50 Upgrade Modules
- Subsequent Completion Rewards
- 1 ISO-8
- 10 Upgrade Modules
