It’s 2016 and that means the promised Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat X is so close to releasing. So brush up on your fighting and get ready for four new fighters to appear in MKX and prepare for new fatalities and brutalities.
The four new fighters in Kombat Pack 2 are Bo-Rai-Cho, Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, the new Cyborg that looks to combine Sektor, Cyrax and Smoke into one fighter (scary) and the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise.
But since their introduction at the Video Game Awards, there hasn’t been much about the Kombat Pack 2 fighters. And that’s going to change this week as a new gameplay trailer video is set to be released from NetherRealm Studios.
And this announcement comes from the main man himself, Ed Boon.
Fans of Mortal Kombat X did get a nifty reveal trailer for Kombat Pack 2 that shows the fighters getting into the fight. The best parts of the trailer were the new Cyborg getting boosted with Sektor and Cyrax’s abilities and the baby Xenomorph coming out of Baraka and becoming an Alien/Baraka hybrid.
A nice nod for the fans of Baraka who wanted Baraka in the game. This is a pretty cool way to get him in the game and bring in a third-party character. And for fans of Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke, you’ll have all three in one character, presumably with each variation being the different cyborgs.
The date of the new Kombat Pack 2 gameplay trailer hasn’t been announced but with the week already begun, it’ll come any day now.
