On Nov. 22, NASCAR Heat Evolution will release its latest DLC package, which will feature numerous new paint schemes along with new spotter audio to be included in the game. The DLC will be available for players on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
Over the years, many companies have tried to release NASCAR games to mainstream sports video game players. The biggest of those titles were from EA Sports, which released such games as NASCAR Rumble and NASCAR Thunder. Since EA’s NASCAR license expired in 2010, the NASCAR license has been a transient as three companies has held the opportunity to make NASCAR games. The biggest issue for making NASCAR games are that they never sold at the levels of Madden or other more popular sports games.
Dusenberry Martin Racing announced in 2015 that they took on the NASCAR license with NASCAR ‘15. The follow-up to that was this year’s NASCAR Heat Evolution , a game that features all 23 licensed Sprint Cup tracks and real drivers from all the of the relevant teams in NASCAR (Hendrick Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, etc.). Reviews for the game as ranged from a 7.5 from Polygon to a 5.8 from Forbes.
