A new update has been released for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds and it’s pretty much just in time for the holidays. For one, it introduces players to “The Wishing Tree Episode” where they find Evermore has been turned into a wintery wonderland filled with holiday cheer. There’s also a new dungeon that’s waiting to be explored.
Other new content includes the new Silent Night Outfit and Hat and the new mount Rudy, which is clearly inspired by a well-known red-nosed reindeer.
Wishing Tree Update Celebration
In celebration of this new update, everyone is invited to join The Wishing Tree Update Celebration Check-in Event. It starts tomorrow, December 16, and runs until December 18. Just log in everyday during the event to receive Superb Equipment Enhancement Stone Selection Chest x2.
By using a Superb Equipment Enhancement Stone Selection Chest, players can choose and obtain one of these selectables:
- Superior General Weapon Enhancement Stone x1
- Superior Armor Enhancement Stone x1
- Superior Accessory Enhancement Stone x1
- Uncommon General Weapon Enhancement Stone x7
- Uncommon Armor Enhancement Stone x7
- Uncommon Accessory Enhancement Stone x7
Time to Eat Cake
Another event that players can join in is the Platypaws’s Cake Eating Contest. This one actually started December 13 and is expected to end December 28.
In this event, players need to clear different missions and obtain Event Tasting Tickets. Ten Event Tasting Tickets can then be used to play the minigame which hand out rewards. The minigame is simple and all players need to do is tap buttons that match the cakes on the plate to eat them within the time limit. These rewards are based on the number of empty plates:
- Grain x1
- Fruits & Veggies x1
- Meat x1
- Seafood x1
- Milk x1
- Eggs x1
- Mushroom x1
- Spices x1
- Fresh Apple Tea x1
- Delicious Coupe Bread x1
There's also Fever Time where all cakes on the plate and buttons become giant cakes. Rewards under Fever Time include:
- Feather Teaser x10
- Sparkling Heart x10
- Weapon Recipe x4
- Armor Recipe x4
- Rainbow Star Aura Bell x4
- Jelly Bottle x2
Other Events
- Dururu Power Up Event
- Players can earn Jelly Bottles and additional 4-Star Dururu familiars for obtaining, powering up, and awakening the Episode Familiar Dururu.
- Winter Holiday Check-In
- Players can get rewards, including a Winter Holiday 6-Star Toy Selection Chest and the Cute Red Hat Costume, for checking into the game for 14 days.
