The new Nier: Automata demo for PlayStation 4 is now available, bringing players a taste of the game that’s scheduled to release March 7, 2017.
The PlayStation store describes the demo as follows:
“[J]oin androids 2B and 9S and their ferocious battle to reclaim a machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful machine lifeforms.Experience a glimpse of the action-packed and high-speed battles rendered in fluid 60 FPS, against hordes of enemies within a beautifully desolate open world. Nier: Automata is a fresh take on the action role-playing game genre that gracefully blends mesmerising action with a captivating story."
According to a press release from Square Enix, “With an abandoned factory as the backdrop, the demo follows android 2B's mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon that lies within.”

Square Enix also released a trailer showing off Final Fantasy 15 ’s Engine Blade and Dragon Quest ’s Cypress Stick, which will both be available in the game. Check out the trailer below:
While the March 7, 2017 release date for Nier: Automata has been nailed down, there is no release date for PC yet. But Square Enix has announced information on two different versions of the game that will be made available.
The Day One edition for Nier: Automata comes with digital content and reversible box art. The Black Box edition comes with more goodies: a special box, 2B Figurine, artbook, steelbook case, soundtrack, and all the digital content that the Day One edition ships with. The Black Box edition can only be purchased via Square Enix's online store for $190 here.
