The New Horizon update for Outriders is now available on all supported platforms. This update brings plenty of changes, including a rework to Tiago’s store and the feature that the fans have been requesting: the Transmog system. Read on to learn more about the update’s best features.
Tiago’s Store Rework
According to the developers, people wanted a system to improve their chances of getting specific loot. That is why Tiago’s Store now allows the re-roll of Legendary gear on sale. The store also gives you the ability to purchase a mystery Legendary gear piece.
There are a few things to keep in mind. First, re-rolling the initial list of gear and buying mystery Legendary pieces will be based on RNG. So, the stats or items that you’re going to get are random.
Second, every time you re-roll what Tiago sells, you always generate four armor pieces and three weapons. Plus, there is no limit to how many times you want to re-roll what he's offering.
Third, you can rest easy knowing that the devs will no longer use a time-based refresh system, so you do not have to be forced to come back to Tiago after a set period of time. This is to help you play the game at your own pace.
Transmog System
The community has been clamoring for a way to alter the appearance of their characters without changing their equipment. Hence, the developers finally added the Transmog system.
This system allows you to change the look of your character while retaining the stats of your original gear pieces. What’s more, using this feature on your weapons not only changes their appearance but also modifies the sound.
Using this is entirely free and can be done at any time. You don’t even need microtransactions for this to work. You can read more about it here .
Quality of Life Improvements and Changes

- [NH] Improved the readability of Mod descriptions, especially when viewed on a large TV or Monitor. This change means that certain information is now viewed on the Details window rather than in the Quick View window
- Overall improvements to improve Matchmaking and reduce the chance of matching with an AFK player
- Cost of improving Rare to Epic and leveling up Epic gear from levels 1 to 30 have been lowered which made improving items cheaper in the early game
