A new update is coming to the closed beta Founder's Edition of Path of Titans. On May 10, the Night Stalker update launches to give predators new and deadly skills.
Two of the new abilities, Midnight Hunter and Night Stalker, can increase the mystique and thrills of dinosaur combat especially during nighttime encounters. Meanwhile, small and mid-sized carnivores will become a bit difficult to deal with, thanks to better prowess after dark with over 10 new and updated abilities.
Another ability to keep an eye on is The Call of the Night Terrors. This one gives the Latenivenatrix an increased stamina recovery and damage, making it the ultimate predator.
In a post, the team at Alderon Games revealed that the inspiration for this update were scenes of watering holes in the African wilderness at night. It's because of this that the upcoming update is also turning the water's edge into more hotly contested areas. Watch out for the new skills of raptors in the shadows as well as aquatic carnivores, which are sure to make those long nights by the watering holes teeming with danger.
The team also shared that one of the driving philosophies of the game is the notion of "turnabout is fair play," which includes party vs. party combat. With this update, players can look forward to improvements for the questing and party system, including stacking abilities for party members.
This update also brings the total number of species getting remodels and new animations this year to seven. In addition, nine species will get more than 10 new abilities. Finally, the likes of the Alioramus, Suchomimus, Camptosaurus, and Latenivenatrix are receiving better textures, animations, and movement.
