PGA Tour 2K23 is now available worldwide on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. This latest entry in the franchise features none other than PGA Tour icon and all-time sports great Tiger Woods as its cover athlete. The game also honors the legacy of Woods by letting him playable in-game, as well as an Executive Director that gives advice to the development team.
In a statement, Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy at 2K Alfie Brody shared that there's no better partner when it comes to developing the game than with the cover athlete himself Tiger Woods. He added that Woods has all the qualities embraced not just by the game but also the entire franchise.
Meanwhile, Creative Director for HB Studios Josh Muise revealed that they're thankful for the support and passion shown by the PGA Tour 2K community. He said that their love of the game, along with the feedback, helped shape it for the better.
Being a Pro
PGA Tour 2K23 has new additions and improvements that surely will make veterans of the series happy, while also inviting fans and casual golfers to play it. Players, for example, can control the pros. As mentioned, Woods is now a playable character and he has a roster of at least 14 male and female playable pros. These include:

- Xander Schauffele
- Lexi Thompson
- Tony Finau
- Lydia Ko
- Collin Morikawa
- Will Zalatoris
- Brooke Henderson
- Jon Rahm
- Justin Rose
- Rickie Fowler
Players can try being one of the pros in Exhibition, multiplayer and Divot Derby play. They can also go against these same pros in the PGA Tour MyCAREER mode.
A Better MYPLAYER
Customization in MyPLAYER is deeper than ever, especially with new player archetypes and skill trees. Players can choose the style that works best for them. Meanwhile, there’s a new custom club fitting, where a further degree of personalization is available.
MyPLAYER personalization also returns with players now able to equip their MyPLAYERS with apparel and gear.
The Clubhouse Returns
The game also features the return of the Clubhouse Pass, which brings new gear and apparel rewards from Malbon and TaylorMade. Clubhouse Pass is available in three tiers:
- Clubhouse Pass (free)
- Allows players to unlock free rewards at certain intervals.
- Clubhouse Pass Premium ($9.99/season)
- Allows players to earn rewards for every level.
- Clubhouse Pass Premium Plus ($19.99/season)
- Allows players to skip the first 20 levels and receive corresponding rewards.
