Focus Home Interactive has officially announced the release date of A Plague Tale: Innocence, a dark survival story game set in the 14th Century. Scheduled for launch on May 14, the game will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Amid the stark environment of 14th Century France, A Plague Tale: Innocence tells the story of two siblings, Amicia and Hugo De Rune. Players take on the role of Amicia, the older sister as the two evade soldiers and the plague in the hostile and dangerous environment of the Dark Ages. The game looks and feels like a survival game, but only in the sense that players will want to stay alive to hear the rest of the amazing story. A Plague Tale: Innocence may not bring about revolutionary game mechanics or groundbreaking features, but it shows promise. With a compelling story masterfully told and suspenseful immersion into the game world and its characters, A Plague Tale: Innocence could be the kind of story-driven adventure game fans of the genre have been clamoring for.

While most of the game’s value hinges on how well its story will unfold, A Plague Tale: Innocence is much more than just an interactive movie. The game features stealth and combat mechanics, as players employ both skill and wit to evade not only The Inquisition but also the Great Plague that beset Western Europe in the 14th Century.
Developed by Asobo Studio, A Plague Tale: Innocence comes out on May 14, 2019. In case you don’t want to miss it, the game is also available for pre-order.
