A new Halloween expansion hit Planet Coaster on Monday morning, featuring an abundance of new building pieces, rides and scenery. Unlike some of the game’s other seasonal releases, the Spooky Pack isn’t free. But a breakdown of the $11 expansion suggests Planet Coaster ’s Halloween add-on is well worth the price of admission.
The Spooky Pack is the first new premium Planet Coaster content we’ve seen since the movie and TV-themed DLC published over the summer. Those smaller additions added smatterings of content, inspired by Back to the Future and other classic properties, but fans can expect a much larger influx of new material from the Spooky Pack . The Halloween DLC features many new scenery pieces, from paths and signs to special effects and shop fronts. There’s even some new gear for park guests to buy at the gift shop. The Spooky Pack also features two new rides, The Hoax and The Huntsman, and a Halloween-themed building set players can use to assemble their own decor.
Here’s the full list of content in the Spooky Pack, via press release:
Spooky Scenery
New spooky scenery pieces including static and animated attachments, special effects, shop fronts, path extras, doors and windows, fences, triggerable coaster doors, themed custom signs and even themed hats for Planet Coaster’s park guests.
Spooky Building Set
New spooky construction pieces can be used alone or together with existing themed wall sets. Planet Coaster’s piece-by-piece construction tools mean every part of every theme can be mixed, matched, removed and re-used however players choose.
New Rides
The Hoax is a free-spinning haunted house ride players can fit in even the smallest spaces. Guests will be thrilled and chilled on the tight track filled with frightful twists and turns.
The Huntsman is Planet Coaster's first-ever motion platform ride. This ultra-modern ride tilts, turns and moves around players’ parks without a track.
New Entertainer
King Coaster steps aside to make way for King Ghoster! The newest Planet Coaster entertainer will haunt players’ parks and offer hair-raising entertainment for those who dare to visit.
