Sony announced that PlayStation Now support for all platforms except PS4 and PC will be suspended by Aug. 15. The reason for this, according to Sony, is to focus resources on PS4 and PC.
The list of devices that will have services discontinued on August 15 include:
PlayStation 3
PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV
All 2013, 2014, 2015 Sony Bravia TV models
All Sony Blu-ray player models
All Samsung TV models
Sony Bravia TVs from 2016 will have the service discontinued even earlier, starting on April 1.
“This move puts us in the best position to grow the service even further,” Sony’s Brian Dunn said in an announcement. “If you use any of the above devices, we want to give our heartfelt thanks for your support, and we hope you’ll continue with us.” If you happened to use PlayStation Now on any of the above devices, cloud saves will still be accessible on the PS4 or PC if you want to continue where you left off in your games.
If you have a subscription, and your billing settings are on autopay, make sure you cancel your subscription before April 1 for 2016 Bravia TVs and Aug. 15 for everything else. A reminder to those with three-month subscriptions: You may need to cancel your service early, to not get charged for months you can’t use.
