Arceus was distributed back in August for The Pokémon Company’s year-long celebration of the Pokémon franchise, but it was distributed through game codes via GameStop so not every trainer was able to get one.
However, trainers who own Pokémon X and Y or Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire can now download Arceus by just logging in to the Mystery Gift function, the same way plenty of the other Mythical Pokémon were distributed.
It needs to be noted that if you downloaded the Arceus from GameStop in August, you can’t download this Arceus.
To download Arceus, you’ll need to boot up your game and go to the MYSTERY GIFT tab. Select RECEIVE GIFT and then GET VIA CODE. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have to enter the following code:
In North America, input ARCEUS20
If you’re in Europe, input ARCEUS2016 and you’ll be able to download Arceus onto your game.
This Arceus is the same as the one distributed in August. It’s at Level 100 with the moves Judgment, Recover, Hyper Beam and Perish Song. Even though Arceus won’t learn any new moves from leveling up, there are plenty of HMs and TMs it can learn so you’ll have your choice once you download the Pokémon.
The second chance Arceus event ends on Dec. 31, so be sure to download it before it’s gone for good.
