It looks like Pokémon GO is experiencing a bug attack. However, unlike those in real life these ones are rather cute to it's going to be exciting to encounter them. Get ready for the Bug Out event which starts April 12 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) until April 17 at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
For this event, the bonuses to be enjoyed by trainers are:
- 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
- Increased Candy for Nice Throws or better.
- Increased Candy XL for Nice Throws or better for Trainers level 31 and up.
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Combee and Shiny Burmy.

Mega Heracross Raid Day
In the midst of the Bug Out event, trainers can also look forward to seeing Mega Heracross make its official debut in the game through Mega Raids. It's happening on April 13 from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time).
For the period of the Raid Day, trainers can enjoy these bonuses:
- The Remote Raid Pass limit is increased to 20 from April 12 at 8:00 p.m. (EDT) to April 13 at 11:00 p.m. EDT.
- Trainers can receive as much as five additional daily Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms during the event.
- Trainers have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Heracross from Mega Raids.
- Once two or more Trainers successfully complete an in-person raid, more Pokémon appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 15 minutes.
