Following the Water Festival Event, Pokémon Go will now have an Egg-centric Easter Event that gives trainers more experience and more ways to hatch new Pokémon.
In an announcement on the official website, the Pokémon Go Easter Event will begin April 13 starting at 4 p.m. EST and end at the same time on April 20. This gives trainers a whole week to get walking and to get cracking.
So what can Pokémon Go trainers expect? Well, a greater variety of Pokémon will hatch from 2km Eggs. There’s already a list of the current Pokémon that hatch from those Eggs, but it seems the Easter Event will add more Pokémon to the pool (hopefully, that means more 2km Eggs will be given at PokeStops).
Trainers will also receive more Pokémon Candy for hatching Eggs, so expect a huge boon in Candy.
For those trainers at the highest levels of the game, you’ll be happy to know that during this week-long event double the experience will be given for catching, evolving and hatching Pokémon. If you’ve been hoarding Lucky Eggs for this sort of event, then this is your chance to do a mass evolving session for four times the experience. If you need some Lucky Eggs, they will be 50 percent off in the in-game shop during the event so stock up.
