Pokémon GO is launching the Fashion Week event next week. The spotlight will be on the Poodle Pokémon Furfrou, which is also making its official debut in the game. During the event, keep a lookout for stylishly dressed Pokémon in the wild and in raids. Prepare to grab some new avatar items over at the shop.
Fashion Week starts September 21 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) and runs all the way to September 28 at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
New Mechanic
Before we go into the details of Fashion Week, it’s important to know that Furfrou’s arrival signals the introduction of a new feature. It’s a new mechanic where trainers can change the forms of some of the Pokémon.
As an example, here are the steps to change Furfrou’s Trim:
- Furfrou begins in its Natural Trim.
- Select Furfrou in the Pokémon storage.
- Tap the Form Change button.
- This should bring up a menu that lists the available Trims.
- Select the preferred Trim.
- Changing Furfrou from one Trim to any other Trim costs 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.
