Pokémon GO is launching the Mountains of Power event tomorrow. This new event continues the Season of Heritage story. It ends on January 13.
For this new event, Spark’s intuition has led him to believe that the second mechanism of the mysterious door can be unlocked with the assistance of Rock- and Steel-type Pokémon. Trainers get to journey with Spark across terrain that's sure to remind them of the mountains like in Sinnoh and Johto.
For the duration of the event, trainers can enjoy the bonus of 1/2 walking distance to earn hearts with their buddies.

- The event features Timed Research focused on catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs, and earning Buddy Candy.

Community Day
For this month, the Community Day is going to be on January 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time. This one invites everyone to return to the roots of this event, featuring Bulbasaur, which trainers can meet more frequently in the wild. Those able to evolve Bulbasaur to its final form can get a Venusaur that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.
