It has been a good year for Pokémon GO, but it seems like it wants to end 2021 with a bang. A new feature is set to be launched in hopes to give everyone that feeling of togetherness. With the new Postcard Book, trainers can save precious memories.
How does it work exactly you ask? In the game, whenever a trainer sends a gift, there’s a postcard attached to it based on the Pokéstop where the gift was from. Through this new feature, trainers can now pin those postcards.
Here are some of the details of Postcard Book:
- How to access the Postcard Book?
- Trainers can access the Postcard Book in their Item Bag or Trainer profile.
- How to pin Postcards?
- Trainers can pin Postcards from friends’ Gifts by viewing the Gifts in their Trainer profiles and then tapping the pin icon.
- They can also pin postcards from their own Gifts by viewing the Gifts in their Item Bag and then selecting the Gift whose postcard they want to pin.
- Viewing your Postcards
- Postcards can be sorted by the date received or who sent them.
- Tap on a Postcard in the Postcard Book to view the date when it was received and who sent it.
- Removing Postcards from your Postcard Book
- Trainers can remove Postcards from their Postcard Book by selecting the Postcard they want to remove, tapping the icon in the bottom right, and then tapping DELETE.
- Adjusting privacy settings
- Trainers can opt-in or out of having their Trainer Nickname shown in the Postcard book through the settings menu.
Holiday Event
This new feature arrives in the game when the Pokémon GO Holidays event starts, which is on December 16. This event is divided into two parts with the first one starting December 16 and the second on December 23. For each stage, trainers can encounter certain Pokémon and even meet them in raids.
One of the highlights of this event is the official debut of Bergmite. There’s even a mini-event with a surprising bonus. Read more about it here.
