Pokémon GO players regularly have new, exciting events to look forward to, and a new one is set to begin on August 2, 2024.
Known as Adventure Week, it begins at 10 a.m. local time and will stretch all the way to August 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time. Adventure Week is set to make exploring the world of Pokémon GO more rewarding and exciting for players.
Adventure Week has a lot in store for Pokémon GO fans, including event bonuses, wild encounters, Eggs, and so much more. Here is what you have to know about Pokémon GO's Adventure Week.
Wild Encounters and Eggs
Firstly, there will be a lot of wild encounters as well as Eggs throughout the period of the event. During Adventure Week, players can expect the following Pokémon to appear more frequently in the wild:
- Bunnelby
- Diglett
- Dunsparce
- Drilbur
- Kabuto
- Omanyte
- Roggenrola
There is also an opportunity to encounter an Aerodactyl, but this will not be as often as the aforementioned Pokémon. It should also be noted that lucky trainers may even encounter Shiny ones along the way.
Players can also expect the following Pokémon to hatch from 7 km Eggs:
- Amaura
- Archen
- Cranidos
- Shieldon
- Tirtouga
- Tyrunt
Similarly, trainers may encounter Shiny Pokémon's along the way.
Event Bonuses and Field Research Task Rewards
Adventure Week brings the following event bonuses players can enjoy:
- 2× XP for spinning PokéStops
- 5× XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time
- 2× XP for hatching Pokémon
There will also be event-themed Field Research tasks that will be available throughout Adventure Week. Completing Field Research tasks will give players the opportunity to encounter the following Pokémon:
- Amaura
- Anorith
- Archen
- Bunnelby
- Cranidos
- Drilbur
- Dunsparce
- Lileep
- Roggenrola
- Shieldon
- Tirtouga
- Tyrunt
Players should note that certain Field Research tasks will award them with Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.
Other Details for Pokemon GO's Adventure Week
Aside from Field Research, Timed Research is likewise available during Adventure Week. However, it costs $2 (or the equivalent pricing tier in other currencies) and will be available for a limited time only.
Time Research must be completed, and rewards must be claimed before August 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
In addition, players can also anticipate Collection Challenges and PokéStop Showcases as part of Adventure Week. Players will receive Stardust, encounters, and Mega Energy for Aerodactyl upon completion of Collection Challenges.
