The first Pokémon revealed from the Alola Region was Magearna, who has a major part to play in the upcoming Volcanion movie but has not made its debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon just yet.
While the Volcanion film has been out in Japan for awhile, the Americas will get their first chance to watch the new Pokémon movie on Disney XD on Dec. 5. With the movie’s release comes the Magearna event distribution for trainers to download the Mythical Pokémon into their Sun or Moon game.
On Monday Dec. 5, head on over to Pokemon.com for the first chance to get the Mythical Pokémon Magearna. Players who have already finished their Alola adventure can scan a QR Code to unlock the Pokémon in their Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon game with the new QR Scanner feature.

Here's how you download Magearna according to Pokemon.com.
1. Complete the main story
2. Choose the QR Scanner function
3. Line up the QR code for Magearna while pressing the R Button
4. Visit the deliveryman at the Antiquities of the Ages shop in Hau'oli City to get Magearna
5. Be sure to save your game!

Magearna comes with the new ability Soul-Heart that boosts its Special Attack every time a Pokémon faints, which could make this Steel and Fairy-type Pokémon a real tough opponent.
It also gets the exclusive move, Fleur Cannon, which is a powerful 130 base power Fairy special attack. Magearna’s Special Attack will fall after use but if you can get a few Soul-Heart boosts it won’t matter.
