New information on Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon continues to leak ahead of its Nov. 17 release date for the Nintendo 3DS. Via Japanese site Serebii , the latest issue of Famitsu reported the post-game story will be deeper than before and the changes made to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be more in-depth than Pokémon Emerald & Platinum.
The story of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is twice that of Sun and Moon. Famitsu also reports there will be elements that will make Pokémon easier to catch and train compared to Sun and Moon. Lastly, Famitsu also confirms that players will encounter various Legendary Pokémon (Mewtwo noted in the issue as a possibility) through the Ultra Wormholes when traveling through portals on Solgaleo and Lunala.
The Famitsu information comes off the heels of the October issue of CoroCoro , whichrevealed exclusive Z-Moves for Necrozma’s new forms, Dusk Mane and Dark Wings. Rotom Dex will also receive an upgrade.
Rotom Dex will receive these upgrades when the trainer befriends the Dex, unlocking special items that act a lot like O-Powers from Pokémon X and Y. Some of these items include repels, replenishing HP, increasing prize money, increasing your relationship with your Pokémon and even increasing the rate that eggs hatch.
The story of Ultra Sun and Moon revolves around Necrozma stealing the light of Alola. Players have seen the Legendary Pokémon duke it out with Solgaleo and Lunala. There will also be differences in which trainers appear, certain areas that are unlocked and even a brand new Evil Team, called the Ultra Recon Squad.
New Ultra Beasts make their way to Alola in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. UB Adhesive, Burst and Assembly are the confirmed new Pokémon in the upcoming games.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will release for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 17.
