Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid officially released Season 2. This new season introduces new characters, a new Arena, and even a new Ultra.
Battle for the Grid has players control not only current and classic Power Rangers, but also the villains. The goal is to defeat enemies in 3x3 tag battles. With controls that promote both fluidity and simplicity, new players are able to enjoy Battle for the Grid's combat systems. However, it is engaging enough to ensure that advanced players are able to look deeper into its gameplay mechanics.
For the new season of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, there are number of free and paid downloadable content. New characters to be introduced in the game include:
- Anubis ‘Doggie’ Cruger
- Anubis ‘Doggie’ Cruger is from Power Rangers S.P.D. and serves as the commander of Space Patrol Delta on Earth.
- Known as the Shadow Ranger, he is a master swordsman that can use a wide range of blade attacks from both short and long range.
- The character is already available now for $5.99.
- Eric Myers
- Eric Myers is from Power Rangers Time Force.
- He worked as a soldier for the Silver Guardians before becoming the Quantum Ranger.
- With the Quantum Ranger's powers, he is able to travel back in time and claim the power of the Q-Rex Zord.
- Eric is a long-range fighter who makes use of blaster shots.
- He can also teleport in order to attack opponents from a distance.
- His offense is greatly increased when his Quantum Defender is switched to blade mode.
- The character is set to be released in October and will be available for $5.99.
- Dai Shi
- Dai Shi is part of Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
- As the evil sport of an eight-headed dragon, he was imprisoned a long time ago under his seal was broken.
- He is a highly agile melee fighter, and has unique movement options and attack angles that are not available to the rest of the characters.
- Dai Shi is effective on the ground or airborne.
- The character is set to be released in November and will be available for $5.99.
Other new additions to the game which are offered as free DLC include:
- New Arena
- Space Patrol Delta Base
- This is the training grounds of the command post for S.P.D. Academy.
- New Banners
- Unlock new banners that feature art from the new characters as well as Story Mode.
- New Ultra
- Delta Squad Megazord
- Call up the power of the Delta Squad Megazord in order to assist your team in battle.
Finally, there is the Tommy Oliver/Mighty Morphin White Ranger character skin. This lets you play as the first White Ranger with Saba on his side. This new skin is set to be released in October and will be available for $1.99.
Rather than buying new characters individually, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid released the Season 2 Pass for $14.99. The bundle includes all paid content like the new characters and new skin.
