Project Cars is a bit of a cult favorite but we're definitely happy to learn that loyal fans can expect a sequel soon. Via the Project Cars forum, developer Ian Bell responded to fan speculations and offered a ballpark release window for Project Cars 2:
While progress on the sequel isn't terribly off target, delays in GUI and Career has set the team back by a month or two. We definitely expect Project Cars 2 to deliever a significant leap in graphics quality as well as PS VR for the discerned fans on the 4K and HDR-ready PlayStation 4 Pro.
Fans are also asking for more diverse racing – including an oval experience. According to the forums, PC2 will mostly likely answer the request as the sequel will feature reworked tire models that may include asymmetrical tire, suspension and aero setups for left turns.
Stay tuned as we hope to learn more about Project Cars 2 in the months ahead.
