The PS+ free games list for January 2017 has been revealed, offering fans some very different titles. The most notable is, Tim Schaefer’s Day of the Tentacle: Remastered is a modernized version of his bizarre PC classic. A group of friends endeavor to stop a menacing purple tentacle from taking over the world, and have to stop him through some top-notch puzzle solving and hilarious time travel mechanics. It’s an oldie but a goodie.
The second title fans are buzzing about is This War Of Mine: The Little Ones. Be warned, it's a pretty bleak affair and if you’re already suffering from a case of the 2016s you might want to hold off on diving in until you’re in better spirits. What you’ll find, though, is a 2D survival masterpiece that puts you in charge of a group of survivors in a war torn town whose hardscrabble existence includes scavenging for basics like food and medicine. Expect to see the worst of your fellow man, too. It’s a heavy game, but an important one, and can give you a bit more context on what its like to be one of the people you see ont he evening news fleeing a warzone and trying to survive.
