PUBG: Join the Special Summer Event on Steam

What’s a good way to beat the summer heat? PUBG: Battlegrounds has launched two special summer events that hope to keep you refreshed in this rather sizzling weather. There’s only one issue: it's exclusive to PC players on Steam.

The reason for this seems to be technical issues. However, a check-in event with identical rewards is planned for consoles during the July Special Drops.

Check-in to Survive

The first game is Check-in to Survive. The event starts July 13 and ends July 27. Here’s how the event works:

Access the game within the period mentioned.
Press the Special Summer Event banner in the lobby. The banner should take you to the event website.
Click the Join Event button within the first week of the event period and you immediately get 3 Life.
- The Join Event button is going to be disabled beginning on Day 8.
- Be sure to join within the first 7 days for that permanent reward.
Scroll down and make sure to press the Check-in Button to receive the daily Life as well.
- Get the Summer Surf - Mini14 (3 Days), through the customize tab.
The time-limited use of Summer Surf – Mini14 can be extended by checking in every day.
To change your 3-day Mini14 skin to permanent items, be sure that your Life does not drop to 0 during the event period and until the last day of the event.
- Access the event website any time through the lobby banner to check your current Life and check-in progress.
Press the Check-In button at the event website each day and receive 1 Life PER check-in.
- 1 Life will get DEPLETED per day that you don't check in.
- The Check-In button resets at 5:00 a.m. EDT every day.

As mentioned, the reward for those able to maintain more than 1 Life is the permanent item Summer Surf – Mini14 skin.

Play and Earn

The second event invites everyone to Play & Earn Survival Points. This event starts July 13 and ends July 27. Here's how the event works:

Access the game within the period mentioned.
Press the Special Summer Event banner in the lobby. The banner should take you to the event website.
Click the Join Event button.
Scroll down and press the Check-In button for your daily check-in.
- The Check-In button resets at 5:00 a.m. EDT every day.
Go back to the game and play for at least 30 minutes.
- The check-in is counted when your cumulative time of survival/spectating teammates reaches at least 30 minutes per day.
- Applies to Normal/Ranked matches only.
- Tutorial, Training, and Arcade modes are not counted.
You receive 10 Points per weekday and 20 Points per weekend.
Exchange your points for in-game rewards at the Survival Point Shop through the Special Summer Event website.
- Press the Exchange button for your desired reward.
- The exchanged rewards are immediately sent to the CUSTOMIZE tab.
