A new PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds patch hit Xbox Live on Monday morning, the fourth since the wildly successful battle royale game hit Xbox One, delivering a combination of tweaks and bug fixes. The new PUBG patch should also boost the framerate for the game client and its servers.
The Battlegrounds servers went offline for updates early Monday morning. The process took about 30 minutes and the results should speak for themselves. Along with the aforementioned frame rate increases, PUBG Corp. says the new patch will improve the game’s PhysX performance and further optimize other visual effects. This week’s patch addresses a number of bugs that caused the Xbox One port to crash, sending players back to the dashboard without a chicken dinner (or even some BP) for their troubles. The new PUBG patch also addresses more specific gameplay elements, like giving players a slider to adjust aim acceleration. Battlegrounds fans will also find firearms do more damage to vehicles than they did pre-patch.
