Publisher Bethesda has just released another trailer for its upcoming first-person shooter, Rage 2, and it has more chaos and craziness than we could have asked for.
I'm going to be honest - that trailer made me feel warm and tingly hyped up out of my mind and ready for adventure. Rage 2 is coming out next month, and Bethesda knows just how to push our buttons the right way. In the trailer, players get a sneak peek into the world of Rage 2, and the all the craziness that comes with it. With cyborgs, laughing buffalos, taunting cliffs, ‘backwater degenerates’, and apparently, laser-head yeti creatures, Rage 2 looks like its going to be one hell of a fun ride.
The gaming community has had a lot to say about Rage 2 so far. The folks over at Game Informer say “It’s the most promising shooter of 2019”, and VG24/7’s two cents say “Rage 2 is going to blow your mind.” and here at Player. One, we can’t help but agree. Rage 2 is definitely one of the titles in 2019 that you don’t want to miss.
Rage 2 is the sequel to the original Rage, which launched for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in 2011. It’s currently being developed by Avalanche Studios in partnership with id Software under the publisher Bethesda Softworks. By any standard, the minds behind Rage 2 are the gaming industry equivalent of a star-studded cast. id Software pioneered the first-person shooter, and is the game development company that brought us the Quake franchise, the MS-DOS cult classic Commander Keen, the Wolfenstein franchise, the Doom franchise, and the original Rage game. Avalanche Studios is also a veteran of the gaming industry, having produced the entire Just Cause franchise and the 2015 open-world sandbox Mad Max, among other titles. Publisher Bethesda Softworks is arguably the biggest of the bunch, with franchises like Dishonored, the Elder Scrolls, and Fallout under their belt.
With these companies’ long-standing reputation for making great games, the entire gaming community is excited to see what they have in store in the upcoming Rage 2 first-person shooter. The official launch date is set for May 14, 2019, but if you absolutely need to channel your excitement now, you can pre-order the game from the official Rage 2 website and get some decent bonuses, too. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and on PC via the physical copy or digital download through the Bethesda Launcher.
What do you think about Rage 2 so far? Will you be playing the game when it comes out on May 14, and if so, will you be playing it on Xbox One, PC, or PS4? What are your thoughts on the all the insanity it's promising to bring? Let us know in the comments section below!
