Rainbow Six Siege: Beastcoast Wins BLAST R6 Major Manchester 2024

Despite having the odds stacked against them, beastcoast was able to get an upset and claim the victory in the BLAST R6 Major Manchester 2024. The Rainbow Six Siege team from North America was able to defeat Team BDS. With this, they get to bring home $217,000 along with 350 Six Invitational Global Points.

The team is composed of:

The Road to the Grand Final

The team was able to join the tournament by getting 1st place in the North America League. The thing is, not mane thought they would go far in the competition. However, people started to focus their eyes on beastcoast after the team finished 6th on Phase 2. That meant it was qualified to move to Phase 3 and it was here that they started to show their worth.

They were able to sweep FaZe Clan in the Quarterfinals at 2-0. They then did the same against Team Liquid in the Semifinals. This resulted into a Grand Final matchup with BDS.

The Grand Final

Heading into the Grand Final, 70% of the fans said the win would go to BDS.

The first game was Skyscraper and beastcoast managed to get the win to set the tone of the match. However, BDS would take the next two games which were Consulate and Chalet. Fortunately for beastcoast, they were able to get the win in the fourth game which was Kafe Dostoyevsky.

It boiled down to the fifth and final game which was Border. BDS took the first round with beastcoast winning the second to tie. However, it was BDS who grabbed the victory in the third round. The next three rounds were won by beastcoast to lead 4-2. The team then went on to win the next two rounds to widen the lead to 6-2. BDS then sprang into action to win three rounds and be within reach at 6-5. However, beastcoast would not be denied and they won the next round and with it the tournament.

Aside from the win, Gunnar was also chosen as SiegeGG's MVP.

This was the first international title for beastcoast and they now lead the Global Standings.
